For many teachers, teaching alone can be a very stressful profession. Competition for the classroom is an ongoing battle between teachers and students. High demand from school administrators and parents are not easily navigated and teachers are the first to be blamed.

In this episode, I sit down with Dawn Merritt to discuss her 23 years as a public school teacher in Philly. She shares her teaching philosophy and advice to anyone entering this space. Dawn is also an artist who uses her paintbrush and canvas to decompress from the long days of educating some of the most intelligent and challenging students.
